Anti-cellulite massage oil: what's in it and how to use it

ryng labs · updated 21 September 2026

Short answer

An anti-cellulite massage oil lets a massager or your hands glide over the thighs, hips and glutes without dragging, and leaves the skin soft afterward. The massage is what smooths the look of dimpled skin for a while. The oil makes that massage comfortable and repeatable.

What does an anti-cellulite oil actually do?

It does two jobs. It cuts friction, so a massager moves through the tissue instead of pulling at the skin, and it conditions the skin you are working on. No oil dissolves cellulite. Cleveland Clinic notes that even creams with caffeine or retinol need six months or more of use before any change shows, and that massage gives a temporary smoother look rather than a lasting one.

Five blends, each for a different area.

What is in the ryng anti-cellulite blend?

It is collagen and stem cell infused, in a grapeseed base with eucalyptus, lemon and grapefruit. It is light rather than greasy, which matters with a knobbed massager: a heavy oil makes the head slide around, and a dry leg makes it drag.

Slow circles, three to four minutes an area.

How do you use massage oil with a massager?

  1. Warm five to ten pumps between your palms.
  2. Work it over the area you want to massage: outer thigh, back of the thigh, hip or glute.
  3. Move the massager in slow circles on a low setting for three to four minutes per area.
  4. Repeat three or four times a week.
  5. Judge it on photos taken in the same light after a month, not on the mirror after one session.

Why does a knobbed massager need oil?

Dry, the knobs catch on the skin instead of moving through the tissue underneath. That is how people end up bruised instead of smoothed. With a knobbed head like the ryng contour V3, oil first every time.

Which blend is for which area?

Blend What is in it Best for
Anti-cellulite Collagen and stem cell infused, grapeseed, eucalyptus, lemon, grapefruit Thighs, hips and glutes
Debloat Lavender, chamomile, lemon balm An evening stomach and waist session
Sore muscle Arnica, peppermint, eucalyptus, sweet orange Legs and shoulders after a long day
Soft and smooth Rosehip, grapeseed, sunflower, ylang ylang Skin that feels rough or dry
Cramp relief Magnesium chloride Calves and feet at night

All five are in the ryng body oil range.

What will it not do?

It will not remove cellulite or burn fat, and any oil sold that way is overselling. Patch test first if your skin reacts easily, and keep it away from your eyes.
